Senior Project Manager, HR Technology
Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Opportunity Profile:
The Senior Project Manager, HR Technology will oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing Talent Management projects including design, planning, problem solving, and implementation. May be assigned to one or more projects.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements; identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities.
Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope by effectively applying methodology and enforcing project standards.
Review deliverables prepared by project team before passing to client to ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
Minimize our exposure and risk on projects.
Track and report team hours and expenses on a weekly basis, manage project budget, and accurately forecast project costs and utilization.
Assure project legal documents are completed and signed.
Identify business development and "add-on" opportunities as they relate to a specific project.
Lead regular status meetings with project team.
Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.
Understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
KNOWLEDGE
Must possess knowledge of the frequent use and general knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards. General application of concepts, and principles. Possesses general understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must possess the ability to develop plans & solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Must have strong project planning skills.
SUPERVISION
Position functions semi-autonomously. Position indirectly supervises personnel on projects. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing, contracting, hiring, and training personnel; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Minimum of a Bachelors degree (or equivalent) and 5 years of experience. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration. Experience implementing SAAS solutions preferred.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
PMI Certification desired.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret software solutions and RFP documents. Ability to deve lop implementation project plans and technical correspondence. Ability to work with executives and communicate abstract concepts. Ability to present to a high level of the organization and groups outside of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply business concepts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, areas, and volume to practical situations. Ability to apply mathematical operations and algorithms to business situations.
