 Responsibilities

·         Providing the Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 support for the Linux/Unix Infrastructure

·         ITIL Process awareness & Handling incidents, problems and changes as per the ITIL Guidelines.

·         Transitioning knowledge and mentoring the offshore team

·         Take lead in resolving any Linux/Unix related production issues and lead the High severity incident calls involving multiple teams

·         Leading the effort for Root Cause Analysis of high impact / priority issues

·         Ensuring maximum uptime & security compliance of the Infrastructure devices & tools

·         Monitoring & analyzing Linux/Unix infrastructure for optimal Uptime/ capacity using various tools.

·         Follow organizations change management process and record/track  Linux/infrastructure Documentation

·         Interface with the  customer & various internal teams for issue resolution

·         Providing timely status updates via calls, meetings, ticket updates to all the involved stakeholders & building customers confidence in team

·         Ensure high customer / stakeholder satisfaction with the  support

·         Provide on-call support, whenever needed

Skills

Primary Skills

·         Knowledge of Linux/Unix & related infrastructure like storage.

·         Knowledge of datacenter operations & related infrastructure.

·         Excellent knowledge & real-time hands on over Linux/Unix administration & Maintenance.

·         Good knowledge & real-time hands on of linux/unix OS and Raid technology.

·         Good knowledge & real-time hands on of storage management on Unix servers.

·         Strong support & troubleshooting skills for performance issues on Linux/unix servers

·         Strong communication skills

·         Good knowledge of TCP/IP protocol suite.

·         Well versed in concepts of SAN, NAS, EMC storage, Virtualization, Monitoring tools, RDBMS (oracle), Anti-virus

·         Strong knowledge in ITIL processes (incident, problem and change management processes)

Secondary Skills

·         Operating Systems HP/UX, Windows

 Qualification

Bachelor's degree or Master's degree

 Experience Required ( In Years)

A Minimum 5-8 years of experience in the Primary  skill sets listed above is required for this role
