We have an urgent job opening for PeopleSoft Admin.

 

Location:  Columbus, OH

Duration:  6 months extendable

PR:  $/hr all inclusive

 

1)       Someone with 8.9 to 9.0 PS upgrade exp as an admin highly desired

2)      Upgrade support exp from Peopletools 8.5 to 8.5.2 upgrade.

3)      Areas of PS Admin support include: patches, servers, DB, data migration, troubleshooting, debugging

4)      Extensive PS  apps upgrade experience as an admin highly desired

5)      Strong and experienced no need for supervision and take charge has do it before no training wheels.

 

Generic Job Description:

Under minimal supervision, provides web platform support for large scale systems and high profile, demanding  IT projects.  Primarily responsible for web server and application configurations that achieve established availability, performance, integrity, security and schedule objectives.

Position will identify, analyze, design and implement web platform technologies, features and services;  partner with application and infrastructure technical leaders to design and implement web platform integration; develop and enhance technical processes and procedures; resolve complex technical issues and perform web server and application configuration administration tasks as required.

Embrace and practice established  ITSM processes and  operational standards, including University database and server security standards.

Regular 8 hour/day schedule arranged between 6am and 6pm M-F;  Some evening/weekend on-call rotation and project go-live implementation efforts required.

The Ohio State University Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) provides services to help University faculty, students and staff use technologies in learning, teaching, research, and administrative settings.

Experience:

Required:

-8 years administering mission critical web platforms

-5 years administering PeopleSoft web servers, application servers, process schedulers and file servers

-5 years coordinating and performing PeopleSoft application and PeopleTools Technical upgrades

-3 years programming in shell and/or scripting languages

 

Desired:

- Experience with Apache Tomcat and HTTPD server, Java and J2EE, MySQL and LDAP high availability configurations, PHP or C programming
