Looking for a Senior UI/UX engineer with 7+ years of business application UI Design experience. We just kicked off an extensive and complex project which will consolidate 19 disparate systems into a unified suite of applications. Usability is key to the success of this project. An iterative waterfall methodology with components of Agile will be used and tools to support the design effort are open for selection.
The ideal Senior UI/UX Engineer candidate is a practitioner of user research, information architecture and interface design who:
● Understands and applies user-centered design best practices and techniques
● Ability to conduct user research and usability testing at customer's location as well as remotely
● Has strong experience in client management in the role of UX Engineer
● Works with design, development, and project team members to come up with UI concepts, storyboards and prototypes
● Conducts user research by applying UCD techniques such as stakeholder questionnaire sessions, user profiling, personas, scenarios, tasks and work flow modeling and translates results into clear information architecture & wire frame designs
● Contributes to the evolution and strategy of project design policies and practices as they apply to the implementation of standards, interaction, color, typography, artwork, and all other visual/interactive expressions of the user experience.
Required Skills
● Psychology, Design, Computer Science or related field of equivalent experience.
● Formal education is a plus (Master's in Human-Computer Interaction, Master's in Design, Master's in Cognitive Science)
● Certified Usability Analyst (CUA) is a plus
● Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate concepts and ideas through wireframes, simulations and prototypes.
● 5+ years total UX/UI design experience in web application design and development of dynamic data driven websites.
● Expertise in visual design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and or Fireworks.
● Expertise in HTML, HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, CSS3 and CSS frameworks a plus
