Role: Network Engineer
Duration: 6+ month contract
Location: Plano, TX
Looking for 10+ Network Engineers to remotely support a nationwide infrastructure refresh for a leading retail company.
Engineers will be expected to work different shifts to cover 7pm-7am work hours (the deployment work will be happening at night).
Schedule is still being determined. The Engineers should expect to sit onsite in Plano.
Top 3 Required Skills for this Position:
1. Cisco routers, switches and ASA firewalls
2. Wireless networking and data network concepts
3. IP Routing and Layer 2 switching
Other skills:
Basic troubleshooting skills
Fluent in Cisco IOS and switch and router administration
Fundamental understanding of DNS
Understanding of Physical Layer connectivity for Ethernet networking
WAN circuit troubleshooting
Fluent with telnet, SSH, FTP, TFTP
Familiar with MS Windows OS
Preferred Skills:
Related Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE)
Soft Skills:
Strong written & verbal communication skills (English)
Daily job duties for this position:
Coordinate with remote technicians for installation and/or troubleshooting of store networking equipment
(verification gear is showing up on network and functioning properly, troubleshoot issues, escalate as necessary)
Daily turnover status meeting and report with -network engineering team
Completed turnover sheets with signoff of all assigned tasks/steps per location.
