We need a Cognos Enterprise Planning Consultant

 

Role: Cognos Enterprise Planning Consultant

Location: Danbury, CT

Duration:  6 Months

Job Description

 

Responsibilities –

 

Working with end users, stakeholders and project managers to gather and analyze the requirements for development opportunities

 

- Capturing and translating high level business requirements and user requirements into detailed documents to support technical design

 

- Developing the technical specifications for the internal technical teams

 

- Develop Enterprise Planning applications using Cognos Planning toolset.

 

Building planning models using Planning and support/changes to existing planning models.

 

- Optimizing and enhancing existing applications with reference to best practices

 

- Developing strong relationships with end users and stakeholders to facilitate the collection and analysis of future requirements   

- Identification, documentation and resolution of issues related to Cognos Planning Experience is preferred

 

Skills Required

 

- Experience with using Cognos Planning is must.

 

- Experience with Cognos Contributor application to support personalization features including hierarchy.

 

- Exposure to TM1 and migrations from Cognos Planning to TM1 is plus.

 

Exposure to Cognos 8.x and Cognos 10 reporting capabilities is a plus.

 

- Knowledge of financial planning applications, financial reporting principals and contracting is required.

 

- Strong communication skills ability to translate user requirements into technical deliverables

 

- Experience understanding and translating data design models

 

- Ability to work under tight timelines and deliverables - Knowledge of accounting and database design principals, would be beneficial
