Title: C# GUI DEVELOPER
Location: NYC
Rate: $/Day Max
Duration: 6 months+
Main Duties · Derive technical specifications from business requirements from the Dodd Frank, other global regulatory reporting regime rules, and from derivatives trading groups across the firm. · Build and improve the desktop user interface for a cross-functional project and testing coordination including issues & risk management and governance ·
Own the functional delivery of the User Interface throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle. · Work with the Quality Assurance group to write and execute functional test cases.
Person Requirements ·
Extensive experience in C# MVVM approach in WPF required. ·
Strong experience in Multi-Threading required. ·
Experience with WCF web-services is required. ·
Experience in Exceed Grid and xBap is a major plus. ·
Experience in building high performance Trade Blotters is a plus. ·
General understanding of the finance markets, trading environment and middle office operations across multiple asset classes. ·
Experience with all phases of the SDLC.
The candidate must demonstrate a strong track record of deriving complex business requirements and succeeding in large scale projects within a demanding financial environment. ·
Strong experience with writing database queries. ·
Knowledge of software development practices a strong positive.
Personal Requirements · The candidate must demonstrate an ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders across all asset classes and business areas. · Candidate must be able to work independently and be strongly proactive; must have the ability to drive projects in a demanding financial environment. · Strong communicator.
