Job Summary
SharePoint 2010 Administrator install, implement, configure, maintain and manage an Enterprise level SharePoint 2010 platform. The ideal candidate would be able to provide overall guidance for the launch, governance, and ongoing support of the system. The Administrator would also assist in gathering requirements for specific MCIT departments, assist in developing a Pilot program and eventual methodology for on-boarding teams at MCIT..  This position will work with the SharePoint Developer and Business Analyst to implement and support SharePoint at UMHS.  This is a unique opportunity to help launch a new, collaborative Enterprise Level platform at UMHS.
Responsibilities:
•Responsible for implementing and configuring SharePoint 2010 services and settings and providing detailed documentation.
•Responsible for maintaining a full complement of SharePoint 2010 Farms including test/development, Q&A and Production and employing these Farms using a pre-determined lifecycle management process.
•Responsible for developing a Disaster Recovery Plan including backing up and restoring  SharePoint sites and databases; managing site quotas, file size limits and security and user access; as well as assisting with the build-out of team and projects sites based on gathered requirements.
•Serve as the primary technical liaison for SharePoint at MCIT/UMHS including directing the development of custom applications, branding, interfaces, advanced workflows, and custom web parts.
•Provide and develop SharePoint training programs for internal users and help desk support to end users.
•Maintain confidentiality of privileged information and adhere to HIPAA laws and work with UMHS the UMHS Compliance Department to insure the security and integrity of the SharePoint platform.
•Participate in emergency activities as assigned.
•Troubleshoot and debug SharePoint sites; provide testing for all assigned deliverables.
•Work as a consultant on SharePoint customization projects.
Required Qualifications:
•A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
•At least five (5) years of technical experience administering SharePoint 2007/2010 farm installations
• Proven ability to configure and implement a SharePoint 2010 distributed architecture platform
• Proven understanding of underlying SharePoint technologies including .NET, Master Pages, CSS, Active Directory, SQL 2008 R2, IIS 7.5, PowerShell  2.0 , and SharePoint Designer 2010
•Strong experience in working in a large IT environment with multiple departments and teams to achieve a common goal
Desired Qualifications:
•Microsoft SharePoint Certifications in SharePoint 2007/2010
• Ability to provide informal end user training when needed.
