JD:

 

Working closely with Product Management, to identify product requirements, design solutions.

Driving high-level and detailed technical design documents, and active participation in design reviews.

Providing technical guidance and assistance to other software engineers.

Implementation of new features for the PayPal site using C++ and SQL in an Apache/Linux environment.

Maintenance and enhancement of existing features.

Employ technical expertise in helping team members overcome technical problems.

Participate and become actively involved in team and companywide architecture discussions Adhere to release/project schedule and milestones.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of relevant web protocols. Commitment to highly available and platform independent software is required

 

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science is required and MSCS preferred.

8+ yrs of software development experience.

Experience building high volume, consumer facing, web applications.

Preferred experience developing secure transactional software products.

Strong Java, C++ skills are required with demonstrated ability to resolve complex problems.  Experience working with XML/XSL frameworks are required.

Working knowledge of SQL. Knowledge of Oracle RDBMS performance tuning and query optimization or other will be a plus
