Job Title: Front End developer

Location: NYC

Duration: 6+Months

Rate: DOE

 

Job Description:                                                      

Expert knowledge and solid working experience designing efficient, cross-browser user-facing websites. Solid experience in the different support levels of IE 6, 7, 8, Firefox and Safari.

Expert knowledge of CSS, XHTML, HTML, DOM, JavaScript & AJAX concepts.

Good working knowledge of RSS / JSON / REST principles.

Advanced JavaScript knowledge with jQuery or other JS toolkits: Prototype or Dojo.

Working knowledge of Flash, Photoshop and Illustrator.

Experience with JSP, JSTL, layout and decoration frameworks that integrate with Java frameworks such as Tiles and SiteMesh is a plus.

Experience with SEO, Ad Serving, Social Networking interfaces, Google Maps is strongly desired.

Experience with Dynamic Scripting languages, such as PHP, Perl, Ruby.

Experience with IDE (Eclipse, DW), version control (SVN, CVS) and Debugging tools (Firebug)

Comfortable working in a UNIX/Linux environment

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field. Will consider equivalent web development experience.
