Job Title :System Analyst

Location:Jacksonville FL.

Duration : 6+ months

 Systems Analysts (SA's) provide comprehensive consultation to technical staff and business unit clients in recommending and implementing solutions to business problems. SA's prepare detailed system requirements, specifications and documents and provide consultative services through all phases of the System Development Life Cycle.

Job duties include but are not limited to the following:

Works with Business Partner and other IT staff to ensure the design accomplishes both business and technical requirements

Determines business/technical system /application requirements and identifies impacted areas, systems and processes and evaluates alternative solutions. Works with other IT / Business Partners to prepare and document project-planning information (e.g., estimated cost, time, resources, major tasks required to complete work) for input into the scope/requirements document.

Facilitates a systematic process for capturing detailed business functional and technical requirements (e.g., via JAR/JAD session).  Works with business/technical partner to capture requirements in a standard format that can serve as the foundation for developing technical documentation

Creates design documents that specify the software and hardware topology required for the solution. Works with Developers and other IT staff to determine system components and functional flow of components and data between components

Verifies acceptance testing at the system level. Works with appropriate parties to complete accurate and thorough test plans on new / upgraded products. Reviews test results for any system modification.  Works problems uncovered in testing back with Developers

Maintain relationships with external vendors

Assesses systems as business direction changes for impacts to existing designs (e.g. mandates, HCR, regulatory, CMS).  Understands impacts and works as appropriate to determine best solution.

Coordinate Activities with Others on All Phases of SDLC

Assignment will support Product Development.  Incumbent will work with the business (Marketing, Sales, Service) to analyze data to help identify opportunities for new product development.  70% of the time will be in data analysis, 30% in more traditional business analysis tasks.  Incubment will tasked with developing and running SQL queries as well as data modeling and analyis using SAS.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/ IT or equivalent work experience

4 or more years' experience in an application development, testing and/or analytical role

Solid experience gathering business/technical requirements and turning those requirements into system technical designs/solutions

Solid knowledge and experience of System Development Life Cycle, product development and system gathering methodologies, database methodologies and system integration

Advanced, demonstrated proficiency and experience with:

UNIX, NT or IBM mainframe operating systems

Design using multiple data access and storage mechanisms.

Designing distributed client/server or mainframe application

Candidate should also possess proficiency with MS Excel at an advanced level

SAS - ability to model and analyze data using SAS

SQL - ability to run SQL queries
