Position: SAP Systems Analyst / FICO Functional Analyst

Job Status: 6+ month Contract

Location: Houston, TX

Description

Open position for a consultant to work as a senior SAP Systems Analyst, providing application support and implementation expertise in FI-CO for a leading Financial company. Extensive SAP experience is required with excellent communication and project management skills. This individual should be motivated and show initiative in solving problems and developing effective solutions.

Role:
• Help us to evaluate current process at several locations potential and provide advise for improvements and issue resolution
• Assist to resolve issues on an existing A/P implementation and improve processes
• Provide expertise, best practices advice and transition knowledge to employees
• Help solve issues and enhance streamline functionality for banking, open text
• Assist with project management as required

Key Skills:
• Strong A/P knowledge and experience with A/P best practices and configuration
• Experience in A/P sales tax and 1099 reporting
• Experience in treasury modules such as In House Cash, Electronic Bank and foreign bank statement files
• Strong ability to understand business user requirements and translate request into final reporting functionality.
• Some experience with VIM functionality and Open Text
• PMO experience required
• Experience with FS-CD
• Hands on experience in creating FI reports
• Expertise in requirement gathering, quick learning, documentation, training, etc.
• Expertise in main FI and CO modules
• SAP basic knowledge of purchasing
• Must have a proven track record of working with project timeline and completing the milestone tasks as required.
• Background in accounting or insurance industry a plus.
• Team player and familiar with accounting principles and practices to specifically work with the accounting user community
• Requires travel
