DETAILS:

Position: Sr. Front-End Java Developer

Location: St. Paul, MN

Duration:6+ months

Interview: Telephonic + F2F

 

 

Description:

Develops cost effective solutions by creating new and modifying existing software applications. Codes, tests, debugs, documents and implements software applications and prototypes.  Applies Merrill's established development standards, procedures, and strategies.  Adheres to design and  development strategies established by Merrill's Architecture group.  Creates estimates and manages times according to scrum methodology.

 

Specific Skills Required:

Java and XML – 3+ yrs

XSLT, XPath and other XML technologies – 1+ yrs

DOM and event driven XML processors – 1+ yrs

Strong understanding of OOP/OOD

 

Other Skills:

Web Services

Struts

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Analyze requirements and create XSLT based and code based transforms as specified.

Determine the best technology to implement a transform, XSLT or code base.  If code based, DOM or Event driven.

Integrate transforms into existing web services and UI.

Update web services and/or UI to support new requirements as they arise.
