Job Description:

J2EE DEVELOPER

Job Duties include but are not limited to the following:

*Provide detail design documentation, development, unit testing and maintenance of internally developed applications and externally purchased software products

*Code to and create Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)

*Write detailed technical specifications for subsystems and identify integration points

*Estimate project timelines and resources required to complete programming projects

*Perform unit testing and debugging and set test conditions based on code specifications

*Support application throughout the Product Development life cycle

*Coordinate with areas for integration architecture solutions and determine the integration approach

*Review and conduct vendor research and product gap analysis comparison

Job Requirements:

Job Requirements: (candidates would have to have all of these to be considered)

*6 or more years of demonstrated development experience (Candidate should be able to work independently and demonstrate ability to work project deliverables with minimal supervision)

*Knowledge of System Development Life Cycle, product development methodologies, database Methodologies, system integration

*Experience with Unix or NT operating systems

*Knowledge of coding design and documentation protocol, unit testing, change management and release procedures

*Experience developing in Java

*Experience using ClearCase or similar versioning tool

*Experience using SQL or similar query language for Oracle, DB2 or UDB

*Websphere experience

*Experience working with Use cases, Object Oriented Analysis, Design models and Design patterns

*Experience 2 - 3 years minimum with WebSphere Studio Application Developer (Rad 6.0 or Eclipse 3.0), J2EE, EJB, JMS, MQ, XML Web programming, STRUTS

*Bachelor's degree related to Information Technology

*Knowledge of Spring framework

*Verbal and written communication skills

*Experience using MQ series

*Experience using SOAP

Additional Skills

Skills:

*Healthcare Industry knowledge is preferred

*Knowledge of COBOL, PL/SQL, PowerBuilder, HTML, XML, XSLT preferred

*Experience using RUP and the Rational Tools preferred
