Position: Senior Mainframe Developer (REXX)
Location: Columbia MD (outside Baltimore, MD)
Terms: 6 months to perm
Visa Status: GC / US Citizen
The contractor will provide analytical and technical support to CUSTOMER with the development of an enhanced user-interface for an Enterprise Wide Application allowing for faceted search functionality; incorporation of additional databases into this application; and the obfuscation of additional data fields within the Application.
Activities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Perform software development and maintenance in accordance with CUSTOMER's software development lifecycle.
· Learn and utilize third party vendor tools to implement data privacy.
· Develop processes and software that safeguard FTI/PII for CUSTOMER's programmatic systems.
· Develop an effective user interface enabling users to identify and direct their data towards the targeted environment.
· Define and implement the necessary database structures to support additional databases for the Application.
Mainframe Development Environment
The right candidates will be able to demonstrate senior level experience with the following technical skills and knowledge:
· REXX, JCL, CLIST, COBOL, SQL for DB2 on the z/OS platform,
· Experience with Control-M and Compuware's File Aid/Data Solutions or Workbench is preferred.
· Experience using formal software development lifecycle.
· Effective technical writing and oral communication and presentation skills
· Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility standards.
