Position: Sr .NET Developer
Duration: 6 months plus
Location: Arlington Heights, IL
Visa Status: Green Card and EAD perfectly okay. NO H1's please
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design work plus hands-on coding
Provide technical design and support on mid to large scale projects.
Work with Business Analysts to understand application requirements.
Document design solutions and implement according to the design.
Translate business and functional requirements into detailed technical design.
Design and develop proof of concepts to test and prove designs.
Participate in the technology standardization process, focusing on application and data architecture.
Research new products and technologies to determine fit within the organizations application architecture.
Work closely with other developers, project managers, database administrators and QA.
Identify opportunities for process improvements/efficiencies and drive adoption of high priority/high value improvements within the team.
Provide technical assistance and technical training to other departments.
Manage time effectively with minimal supervision to accurately scope projects and ensure that projects are delivered schedule.
Provide on-going maintenance and support for existing applications.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Science.
7+ years of experience in software development (.Net C#, MVC, A+ (ASP, COM, Visual Basic and VB Script preferred)).
2+ years of ecommerce experience
3+ years experience working with MS SQL Server Databases and Stored Procedures (SQL 2005 or 2008 preferred).
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Platform (IIS, .NET, Web Services, SQL Server and SharePoint)
In-depth understanding of Web Standards (HTML, XHTML, CSS, XML, XSL, JavaScript, Web Services, RSS)
Experience with SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc)
Experience with source control tools (TFS/VSS),
Experience with issue tracking and bug tracking systems.
Strong Object Oriented design and development skills.
Ability to work under minimal supervision in a fast paced team environment
Detail oriented with good communication skills
HIGHLY DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Experience with developing e-commerce platforms.
Knowledge of web security.
Content management integration.
