Job Title: Linux Applications Engineer
Location: Raleigh / Durham, NC
Duration: 6 Months
Linux Applications Engineer in the area.
This role is development / operations in nature and you will be working to implement an architectural vision combining continuous automation and semi-automated deployment for this teams' infrastructure.
You will need to have experience configuring and managing Tomcat and mod_jk apache clusters on RHEL or CentOS Linux. Ideally, you will have skills and applied experience with Jenkins, Gradle and/or Maven for build script engineering. Additionally, HTTPD/Tomcat cluster configuration and build automation engineering experience is preferred.

Required Skills / Qualifications
Strong Linux knowledge and skills configuration with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5.5+ (or CentOS, Fedora, or other Linux/GNU distributions)
Strong configuration experience with Tomcat-based application servers (or Jboss)
Strong configuration experience with Apache HTTPD
Experience with bash and/or groovy scripting
Preferred Skills / Qualifications
Rex Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration experience
Experience with Tomcat 7 and/or Tomcat 6 and/or Jboss
Experience with Jenkins
Experience with Gradle or Maven
Experience with Artifactory or Nexus
Experience with Puppet or CFEngine or Chef
Knowledge of Apache Subversion (SVN)
Strong knowledge of continuous integration/deployment practices
Experience with Hyperic HQ
Other Requirements:
Must be able to work on-site in the client's location in Raleigh/Durham, NC area
No relocation expenses will be covered. Non-local candidates should be willing to cover their relocation expense (no interview expenses will be provided as well). Per Diem provision is possible through a W2 contract
You must be able to work on a w2 or c2c contract for the contract phase of this opportunity
