Need for a PM with some experience with managing a Seibel implementation. 

 

Program/Project & Delivery Manager
Job Description:
• Develops the project management methodology and approach – plan development and management, schedule management, resource management, risk management, issue management, CR management.
• Responsible for the design, development, and implementation of the system project plan for large-scale integrated system.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously – implementations, CRs, maintenance
• Ability to develop and manage project reporting function – dashboards, burndowns, slipping tasks, etc
• Experience with using and implementing MS Project Server
• Responsible for developing resource plans based upon the teams input, project plans, etc
• Interacts with BA/SME, technical, development, and test leads for cohesive design and sharing of best practices.
• Delivers areas of responsibility according to or on schedule.
• Knowledge of estimating methodologies and demonstrated ability to guide the team to develop a predictive plan
• Ability to "look around the corner" and manage "problems" before they occur
• Monitors team activities according to the project work plan to ensure tasks are completed on time, within budget
• Assists other team members as needed or as time permits to foster a supportive, team environment.
• Trains new team members on responsibilities and knowledge of the project.
• Provides input into annual Performance Appraisal objectives.
• Provides issue resolution recommendations to project managers for each project.
• Ensures there is regular and effective communication between teams; participates in the issue tracking procedures, and serve as gatekeeper of the issues.
• Completes special assignments and other relevant duties as assigned to ensure a successful completion of the project.
• Manages people for programs or projects involving department or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of projects and/or programs into a finished state
• Plans and directs schedules as well as project budgets
• Organizes project activities that may require interdepartmental meetings and communication ensuring completion of the program/project on schedule and within budget constraints
• Directs the activities of project support staff and sub-contractors and is responsible for ensuring appropriate resources are allocated and maintained to facilitate the successful completion of the project
• Regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several program matters. Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations, without damage to the relationship.

Education/ Experience and Required Skills
• 8-10 years program management experience. Some development experience is a plus.
• Must have led PM effort for significant development and implementation projects (50+ people, multiple technologies, integrated technical and business process, etc)
• Knowledge of and experience with the complete development and implementation lifecycle with particular knowledge of project/program management – methods and tools, waterfall and iterative, custom and package, mainframe and web
• Ability to bring the project management perspective to the entire life cycle of a deal – sales, RFP, … thru implementation and transition
• Experience developing and implementing PM methodologies in teams
• Ability to work and integrate with the other methodology initiatives
• Ability to enlist support, develop buy-in and influence people not directly under their control
