 Please ignore DECT, Now the client wants a strong C++ Developer with Telecom experience.

The candidate will be responsible for software development for the VIPDECT product (Voice over IP DECT). It is an IP connected device which includes voice services along with a wireless DECT interface to a DECT handset. The candidate will be tasked to develop embedded software for the product which includes both the base and handset software. The base includes a DECT software stack, a Linux operating system, and a voice application. The handset software is a constrained environment (64KB memory), a real-time scheduler and a MMI interface.

 

The candidate will:

. Develop software to the approved Technicolor software development processes.

. Determine functional requirements and prepare supporting design specification documents.

. Design, develop, and test modules and applications that meet or exceed the functional requirements.

. Participate in Design and Code Reviews.

. Develop and maintain SW work products in accordance with the established SW development process and the applicable project standards and methodologies.

. Perform testing with technical peers and functional end users to ensure successful launch of development projects.

. Provide adequate and timely weekly status reporting on assigned tasks

 

Candidate profile:

 

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline (Masters preferred).

. 3-5 years minimum experience as a C/C++ software engineer.

. Experience developing chipset/embedded firmware (i.e. DECT SoC, etc.).

. Experience developing VoIP (SIP) client connected to a DECT chipset.

. Experience with Linux OS. Good understanding of real-time operating system concepts. RTOS development experience a plus.

. Experience developing handset software (MMI, DECT).

. DECT knowledge of MAC, data link and network layer desirable.

. Knowledge of services defined by Cat-IQ 2.0 and preliminary versions (2.1 and 3.0) desirable.

. Knowledge of DSPG chipset a plus.

. Self-starter, able to work autonomously, detail oriented, and ability to work under pressure and short timelines.

. Team player with strong interpersonal, written and verbal skills.
