Several new critical Information Technology positions are required to help us create a scalable Finance Operating model to support client business growth objectives. Key outcomes from this include:

- Deployment of consistent financial data and systems architecture that delivers "One Version of the Truth"

- Achieving Finance's goal to operate as a business partner

The Technical Lead - Microsoft .Net is responsible for design, development and implementation of financial applications using Microsoft .Net technologies. Leads the development of detailed technical requirements, designs technical solutions and facilitates approval by clients system/process owners. Technical lead supports the architectural reviews of the detailed technical design, and supports the development teams in day-to-day execution of the project. The Technical Lead should understand GUI visualization best practices, required integration capabilities to automate financial source-to-post processes across Database/ Data warehousing tools, processing rules and exception management. The incumbent will also provide guidance to the team, facilitate client workshops, drive the decision making process, oversee and deliver all .Net technical solutions. S/He is responsible for the design and build of all.Net aspects including the transition from development into production support.

Responsibilities

Self-directed and as Team Leader

- Provide estimates for application development

- Produce progress and status reports

- Ensure integrity of new development within existing applications

- Able to breakdown and coordinate technical activities among onsite or offshore consultants

-Multi-tasking time management for new development and on-going support

Designer/Developer

- Use object-oriented methodologies to design and develop reusable and maintainable components

- Create technical design and specifications

- Model data into a relational structure and map structure to OO model

- Map components for use in a distributed environment

- Design fail-over and load balancing services

- Develop implementation/deployment model

- Create prototypes to assist users in evaluating designs

- Perform necessary unit testing to ensure high quality deliverables

- Provide post-implementation application support

- Ensure reuse opportunities for all component candidates are explored, examined and implemented

Systems Architecture

- Analyze user requirements, expanding on use-case documents, creating use-case model and formulating key application components and their structure

- Ensure reuse opportunities for all sub-systems candidates are explored, examined and implemented

- Adapt XL's framework to new development

- Ensure a clean and elegant integration of sub-systems into application environment

Business System Analysis

- Create use-case documents when developing OO application

- Create application prototypes in support of new application development

Qualifications

• 7+ years of overall software development experience with at least 3 years of design, development and deployment of enterprise OO application in C#.NET using ASP.Net with SQL Server backend

• Comfortable in quickly learning technologies to achieve business solution

• Solid understanding of Microsoft .NET platform and Framework, working knowledge of web services, ASP.Net platform, web application architectures, data models and UML

• Must have thorough understanding of modern development technologies and infrastructures such as object oriented design, .NET/Java technologies, and middleware, databases and Unix/Windows servers

• RDBMS knowledge, specifically MS SQL, Oracle

• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Good interpersonal skills, be team-oriented, technically motivated and creative, user oriented with a desire to learn  business

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology and/or Finance/Accounting

• Knowledge of insurance/reinsurance/finance is a plus
