Job Description:
At least 5 years experience with installation/support Oracle 9i, 10g standalone and making sure to follow our NBC documentation/standards.
At least 3 years experience with installation/support Oracle 9i, 10g RAC.
Some hands on experience with installation/support of Oracle 11g RAC.
Experience installing/supporting physical Data Guard standby.
Able to coordinate the database build tasks with server engineering team and storage team.
Performance monitoring and tuning.
Maintaining and improving databases, including roll outs and upgrades.
Solid understanding of Linux OS especially for oracle builds like clustering,kernel parameters, basic commands, shell scripting.
At least some experience with Finding and fixing performance issues.
Analyzing explain plans.
Working in a team that delivers a high availability service.
Problem escalation procedures to Oracle Development team and third parties.
Capacity and performance planning of memory,CPU,disk space, and I/O.
