Job Description: 

- Candidate must have a minimum of 10 years experience as an Oracle DBA with strong Oracle 10G, 11G and performance tuning skills within a 24x7 business critical environment and preferably on Linux and VMware platforms 

- Analyzes, develops, tests and implements database designs in support of corporate and client area technology requirements. 

- Performs data modeling, logical and physical database design. 

- Includes maintenance of database dictionaries, monitoring of standards and procedures,access methods and time, validation checks, organization and statistical methods. 

- Responsible for data loading, security, performance monitoring and tuning, capacity planning, and backup and recovery. 

- Executes database software installation, database creations/configurations and loads. (10+ years experience).

- Experience with Oracle RAC, Data guard and GRID Control is a must

- Experience with Oracle 10g to 11g migration/upgrade is a must 

- Knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL, Unix and Shell Scripting is required 

- Nice to have experience with Oracle Streams 

- Candidate will be part of a group of DBAs responsible for activities related to successfully maintaining and administering large Oracle Databases in Development, Test and Production environments 

- Candidate must be able to utilize Oracle Enterprise Manager, Data guard and problem solving skills 

- A Good understanding of Database design and optimization along with adherence to change control process is required 

- Strong oral and written communications skills are required. The successful applicant need to be flexible to work on the oncall pager and provide off-hours support as needed 

- Education: BS/MS - Computer or relevant Engineering discipline strongly desired
