DETAILS:

Position: Sr. Oracle Developer

Location: Duluth, GA

Duration: 5-6 months

Interview: Telephonic

 

Our Duluth client is looking for a Sr. Oracle Developer for a contract through the end of 2012 at least (with likely extensions).

 

Responsibilities:

·         Participate in requirements gathering and application review sessions and perform solution design, coding and documentation with minimal supervision and support.

·         Ensure development meets application requirements and is unit tested error-free.

·         Provide detailed estimates of the level of effort associated to implement the technical portions of a project.

·         Create and review detailed technical designs and architecture documents.

·         Assist in the development, upkeep and enforcement of database/coding standards.

·         Commit to making the team better by sharing and accepting ideas, techniques, solutions and constructive criticism.

·         Provide timely response and resolution to Production issues, questions and defects.

Requirements:

·         BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

·         5+ years of PL/Sql development experience on Oracle RDBMS platforms 10g/11g with strong command of the SQL language.

·         2+ years experience with ERWIN (or similar) data modeling tool.

·         Strong/proven knowledge of PL/SQL best practices, including designing for performance, code instrumentation, 11g PL/SQL new features, exception/error handling, and transaction management (Packages)

·         Should be equally capable of working in the UNIX/LINUX environment and Wintel environment.

·         Experience with Oracle RDBMS concepts/utilities including External Tables, Data Pump, SQL Loader, Autonomous Transactions, BLOB/CLOB data, etc.

·         Experience with Oracle Forms, Reports or Apex is a strong plus.

·         Experience with .Net development utilizing ODP.NET is a strong plus.

·         Microsoft Visual Source Safe or other version control products.

·         Able to adapt quickly and easily to change.

·         Experience in a multi-site organization is highly desired; experience with global organizations is a plus.

·         Enthusiastic attitude and ability to build strong relationships within the company and with external partners.

·         Willingness to "wear many hats".

·         Comfortable interacting with management.
