·         My client needs a Project Coordinator / BA type person to work on projects she will be managing.- conversion experience is a definite need, if possible.

·         Need a coordinator type with exposure to MS Project, Excel, Visio and Industry Experience is a Plus

·         They will be working on 2 major massive projects that are very client facing,a new client on boarding and conversion project

Job Title:- SAS ETL Developer

Duration:-6 months contract

Location:- Providence, RI

ETL Specialist

POSITION PURPOSE:

The ETL Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the enterprise standards for ETL/ELT are adhered to when developing new interfaces for loading data to the data warehouse and operational systems. The ETL Specialist will work closely with data and information architects as well as the data modelers to ensure that all applicable business rules and required transformations are satisfied by the ETL/ELT programs being developed. The ETL Specialist will, in conjunction with the data architects, assist in defining and adjusting ETL/ELT standards where applicable.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

•         Develop enterprise standards for ETL/ELT with special focus on the data warehouse

•         Work with architects and modelers to provide input on ETL/ELT metadata requirements

•         Develop ETL/ELT programs in enterprise ETL/ELT tool as well as database specific load utilities

•         Create technical design documentation based on functional designs that capture and document business requirements

•         Performance tuning of ETL/ELT jobs to meet defined SLAs

•         Serve as escalation point for support issues around ETL/ELT applications and errors

•         Respond to and/or assist with help desk tickets regarding data load issues

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

Bachelor degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or software engineering, with a minimum of 5 years equivalent work experience preferred

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

•         Strong conceptual, communications, and technical skills

•         Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions

•         Strong ETL/ELT/ELT application development skills

•         Understanding of multi-layered data warehousing strategy

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

•         Experience developing ETL/ELT applications loading data to/from a data warehouse

•         Experience writing technical design documents based on business functional designs

•         Experience with Teradata Tools and Utilities (TPT, BTEQ, etc.) is a plus

•         Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

•         Experience working in a fast-paced high demand environment

•         Experience with Distribution & CPG industries

•         A minimum of 5 years of experience in a delivery role

•         A minimum of 5 years functional experience within an IT environment

•         A minimum of 5 years knowledge of designing different processes/solutions for various clients

•         Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

•         Excellent verbal and written communication skills

•         Successful teamwork experience & demonstrated leadership abilities

•         MUST be willing to travel
