Subject: QA Analyst Tester
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Duration: 1 Year+
NYC.gov is the City of New York's official and unified presence on the Internet, where anyone can obtain information about, or conduct business with, the City. The objective of the NYC.gov Re-Architecture program is to create robust and sustainable hardware and software environment to support the City's portal presence, and ensure that additional growth can be accommodated for the next five years.
The program entails building new hardware/software infrastructure and migrate existing applications to the new infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and execute functional and regression testing
• Participate in performance testing
• Work with project management team, technical team and business unit in the requirements gathering process to determine high level designs
• Ensure that assigned applications are appropriately quality assurance tested
• Communicate and interact with different project teams
• Attend project's team meetings and some design meetings
• Review design project documents and provide QA comments and sign off
• Define test strategy based on the analysis of design document and requirements
• Create and execute test cases, log and assign defects and keep track of the defect status
• Load and maintain requirements and test cases in Quality Center
• Execute and track testing process using Quality Center
• Work with developers to resolve defects
• Report the results to the management and team lead in timely matter
• Prepare and execute functional testing activities for the application
• Participate in defining strategy for the regression test automation
• Participate in the defining performance test entry/exit criteria
• Participate in designing performance test scripts using LoadRunner
• Assist the support team in deployment
• Other QA related tasks in the SDLC
• Maintain up to date documentation in project's SharePoint folders

o Test Scripts
o Traceability matrix
o Test estimates
o Progress report for test execution
o Defect report
