Position: IT Business Analyst

Location: Boca Raton, FL

Duration: 12+ month contract

Summary: 

·         Business Analyst

o   Identification Phase

§  Develop master fileshare/data owner list

§  Contact branch offices to determine data owners

§  Work with data center server administrators to identify department shares and data owners

§  Work with IT governance to develop questionnaire for distribution to data owners

§  Elicit and document business requirements/project charter

o   Preparation Phase

§  Distribute questionnaire via Sharepoint, report on results where appropriate

§  Document data owner file classification process in conjunction with lead engineer

§  Develop deployment schedule

§  Incorporate branch office relocation schedule from real estate team

§  Incorporate departmental data shares into branch office schedule

§  Work with PM to formalize data owner training and communication plan

o   Classification Phase

§  Coordinate data owner training at the beginning of each deployment wave

§  Act as deployment schedule liaison for lead engineer

§  Monitor data owner progress

§  Compile progress reports by site/department

§  Follow-up with data owners following behind

§  Administer once-daily phone bridge to support data owners with questions

§  Coordinate user access control with active directory team at end of classification wave

o   Consolidation Phase

§  Work with network team to schedule data consolidation for each deployment wave

§  Work with engineer to ensure that user links are updated following consolidations

§  Communicate to data owners following consolidations

Roles and Responsibilities:

·         Create reports based on the needs of the end-user.

·         Develop reporting solutions based on end-user requests and requirements; analyze data requirements.

·         Gather, analyze, and normalize relevant information related to and from business processes, functions, and operations in order to evaluate data credibility, and determine relevance and meaning.

·         Provides support to the business in the delivery of reporting needs.

·         Identifies opportunities to use existing data sources to create strategies and improve business performance.

·         Performs other duties as assigned.

 Requirements:

Education: 

·         Associate degree or equivalent experience

Experience:

·         3 - 5 yrs

Skills:

·         Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of the principles, concepts and theories of own discipline and some knowledge of principles and concepts in other functions.

·         Understands appropriate procedures, policies, practices, systems and regulations.

·         Demonstrates business and organizational acumen of disciplines and client function.

·         Recognized for technical/ functional expertise.
