Role: JAVA DEVELOPER
Location: Louisville, KY
Duration: ASAP thru 12/31/12 – probable extension!
looking for a senior JAVA developer with a minimum 6+ years' experience. The candidate must be strong in JAVA middle tier development since the assignment will focus mainly on back-end multi-thread processing. If candidate has experience with profiling and performance tuning this would be a major plus.
In addition those listed on the attached, the desired candidate must also have the following skill sets:
- JAVA SE 5.0 or higher
- JMX 2.5.6 or higher
- Spring 3.0.x or higher
- Web Services – Apache 2.x (JAX-WS and JAX-RS)
- XML
- Weblogic 10.x.x
- SQL Server 2008
Other Desirable skills include: Maven, Spring Batch, Multi-Threading, Client Server.
Work Location: Louisville, KY
The selected candidate is to be available for immediate start, and the assignment is scheduled to run until Dec 31st, 2012.
FORMAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position requires an individual that is capable of joining a team that is half way through the build phase and assisting the current technical staff with completing build activities for components that will be developed in Java and SQL Server.
· Develops class diagrams / definitions and activity / sequence diagrams using UML for components that will be written in Java and T-SQL.
· Creates programming specifications of moderate to high complexity from high-level specifications.
· Works on highly complex projects that require in-depth knowledge across multiple technical areas.
· Makes strategic as well as tactical recommendations and provides technical leadership.
· Ensures system and data structure/architecture aligns with business requirements.
· Bachelor's degree in related discipline e.g. Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Math, Business or the equivalent of education and work experience.
· Typically requires 8 or more years of experience in multiple IT areas including systems analysis and programming development or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Proficiency with relevant experience utilizing the following concepts:
Ø SQL Server database technologies
Ø Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
Ø Web Services – Apache 2.x (JAX-WS and JAX-RS)
Ø Object Oriented Design and Analysis
Ø Inversion of Control
Ø Aspect Oriented Programming
Ø Client Server
Ø Multi-Threading
Ø Profiling and performance tuning
Programming Language and Framework Experience should include, but is not limited to:
Ø SQL Server 2008
Ø T-SQL
Ø Java SE 5.0 or higher (WebLogic environment)
Ø Spring 3.0.x or higher

Development tool experience should include:
