OVERVIEW:
Our client is seeking a talented, passionate JAVA Software Engineer Application Architect to lead other software engineers to design, integrate, and implement products.
This candidate will support the IT Claims system group and is expected to understand the goals & objectives of the group, provide strategic recommendations, and act as a mentor to those in the group.
This engagement is expected to start as soon as possible and last six months with a possible six month renewal.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate will possess the following requirements:
• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent degree
• 10+ years of software development experience
• 3+ years of proven technical lead and architect experience.
• Development experience in an enterprise-class system with multi-tier architecture
• Must have JEE 6 experience, including JPA, JSF, JAX-RS, JAX-WS, JMS
• Broad experience with various java development frameworks.
• Broad experience with various J2EE containers such as JBOSS, Tomcat, Websphere etc.
• Expert in J2EE APIs including EJBs, Servlets, JTA, JSPs, JSTL, web services and JDBC
• Expert in implementing successful distributed, scalable, high-performance multi-threaded server applications
• Expert with Design patterns, SOA design & development
• Experience with data grid technology such as ehCache, Hazelcast or Coherence.
• Strong experience in developing for high-availability clustered environments
• Working knowledge of Linux and Windows
• Strong speaking and writing skills
• Comfortable working in a flexible Agile development environment
