Job Description

• Define and direct the technical direction of the User Interface development with extensive experience in Web 2.0 development.

•Architect, design, develop, and maintain innovative, engaging, and informative JavaScript applications

• Provide recommendations on product and development environment improvements.

• Prolific with frameworks such as Ext JS 4, jQuery UI, or GWT

• Ensure new feature design falls within the architectural guidelines

• Evaluate different technologies and make recommendation about software, tools, and technologies for new projects

• Apply industry best practices to design and development

• Conduct code reviews to ensure scalable robust code

• Review new feature requirements and assess impact, provide alternate solutions

• Collaborate with other senior engineers to provide management with project estimates

• Scope, design and develop UI functionality to meet the demands of business requirements within set deadlines.

• Define site architecture and navigation that serves as a blueprint of the site upon which all other aspects are built

• Create wireframes, site maps, schematics, process maps, feature lists, mockups, visual specification, working web 2.0 prototypes and other artifacts to describe the intended user experience

 

 

Skills

·         Must have experience designing and coding re-usable RIA components using object oriented JavaScript and JavaScript libraries.

·         Must Have 7+ years of JavaScript and Object oriented JavaScript experience

·         Solid understanding of the DOM model and web browser engine and Web browser and JavaScript Interaction

·         Having created or involved in custom components, widgets and Web controls for open source libraries like Google Code or any of the developer networks.

·         Experience with Agile a plus

·         Strong HTML5, CSS3, AJAX style UI skills

·         Should have prior experience to do Responsive Web Design.

·         Proven track record of translating business requirements into a user-friendly and functional and extremely scalable UI across multi platforms from Web to Mobile to Devices.

·         Previous experience architecting the User Interface for Web and Mobile based software applications.

·         Very Strong communication skills and able to interact with Senior Management and stake holders across multiple Business units of an organization.

·         Solid understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies

·         Strong knowledge of user interface design processes and methodology

·         Knowledge of architecture-related software (Illustrator, Visio, Photoshop, Acrobat, Omnigraffle)

·         Libraries: JQuery, JQueryUI
