Job Title:         Technical PM with LAMP
Location:         New York City, NY
Duration:         6+ Months

The incumbent is typically expected to lead and manage the service deliverables as outlined in the project scope document and design, plan, and coordinates onsite and offshore work teams. Serves as the focal contact for the management of the project. Understands business and technical objectives of the project and works closely with clients and program manager towards project success.

The incumbent will be responsible to lead core elements of open source and LAMP based application support projects for initiation and completion of large, complex projects including overall project review, feasibility, cost benefit analysis, prioritization, initiation, execution and closure.  Establish project organization and methodologies and defines roles and responsibilities to ensure timely and defect free service delivery. Review business requirements and technical design documentation to ensure established requirements. Document risks and develops mitigation plans. Provides technical support to project team members while acting as SME for the Project Technologies. Handles complex application features and technical designs. Lead the design and implementation of the components required for complex application features. Create and implements a communication plan and Communicates to stakeholders. Build an effective team, assigns tasks to team members, and evaluates outcomes. Negotiate resources required for the project. Identifies, tracks, and ensures resolution of issues and removal of barriers.

Capable of managing an application support project with up to fifteen (15) or more project team members at multiple locations, the Technical Project Manager will be regarded as an expert in the required disciplines and technologies, thus enabling him/her to act as a technical as well as functional resource to other team members. He / She will operate under the direction of the Program Manager.  He / She will also be responsible for client interaction and ensuring quality deliverables. This skill set requires multi-year, multi-phase project experience. Great analytical skills and client interaction skills required.

Skills / Qualifications

• Applicants must have a minimum of 10-12 year of overall IT experience.
• 10+ years of application support projects in 24 x 7 environments with 3-5 years of management experience managing application support projects with large teams at multiple locations.
• Ability to provide technical guidance and work with end client to assist in the design, development and implementation of content management solutions and portal application architecture projects in complex networked environments.
• Expert in working within and/or leading / managing teams on portal application and content management solution design, development and implementation within the following areas:

o   Minimum 7 years' experience with Drupal, Moveable Type, WordPress, LAMP.

o   Experience with VideoCMS and Video Player are also required.

o   Experience with SVN, Apache, PHP and Shell Scripting is also important for this role.

• Adept in identifying and resolving complex issues including conflicts and develop innovative solutions for our client's business/technology goals.
• Must understand the overall system and service life cycle and understand how to drive a project to successful conclusion.
• Must fundamentally understand how to discern business requirements and meet these requirements. 
• Must understand structured development.
• Expert in problem solving, process improvement methods
• Expert in using project planning tools such as Microsoft Project or similar tools
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Ability to mentor team members
