  Position:             Java Developer

  Location:            Richardson, TX and Chicago, IL

  Duration:            3+ Months    

Role Description

·         Responsible for developing, maintaining and supporting Web or Java applications Gathers and analyzes requirements
Programs all or selected components of Web or Java applications. Documents components and applications.

·         Researches, evaluates and recommends new tools and applications for use in assigned responsibilities.

·         Demonstrates ability to seek, evaluate, and come up to speed on new technologies and processes
Is capable of  Independently writing and reviewing design specifications, code, and unit tests

·         Troubleshoots and resolves medium to high complexity application defects

Requirements/Technical requirement

Have ability to gain in-depth knowledge and experience- Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services- Independently solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions- Works independently, receives minimal guidance- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may direct the work of other staff members

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.

5 years of IT work experience in software development, installation and modification in an online environment

Platform / Skillset

Experience in Java development. 0-3 years experience in the following environments / Technologies is a PLUS:
- IBM Websphere Application Server, J2EE Technologies, Unix and SQL, JSP, Spring Framework, SPRING, STRUTS,

Additional Hallmark Skill set

SVN, Maven, Hudson, Hibernate, Ant, CSF

·         Our Client is trying to centralize the reference data management and also source the data from different sources like Reuters, Bloomberg etc.

·         The position needs a Business Analyst that can understand data from different providers, do mapping to the enterprise system and provide support for decision making services.

Job Profile & Requirement

·         Reference and Master data management for securities.

·         Exposure to products providing integrated enterprise data management (EDM) platform for the securities and investment management industry (Like Golden Source).

·         Cash and Derivative markets is necessary.

·         Knowledge of Operations and trade processing is also required.
