Job Title: Data Modeller with Business Intelligence
Location: Woodland Hills,CA
Duration: 6+ Months
Essential Functions:
Develop data models according to enterprise data management practices.
Ensure the quality of data submitted to regulatory agencies by developing detailed metadata for submissions.
Design data models for reporting and analytic databases that translate business and regulatory rules and definitions into query able data structures.
Design data models for development of a data warehouse and data marts.
Reverse engineer data models for existing databases and systems.
Work with data analysts to identify data issues within the origination and assist in the development plans to resolve data issues.
Develop and maintain detailed documentation that provides traceability for all enterprise data back to its source.
Define and adhere to standard metadata naming conventions.
Create analytical reports using SQL and other reporting tools.
Required Skills:
5+ years in data modeling (conceptual, logical and physical)
2+ years using reporting tools.
Expert knowledge of data normalization and DE normalization.
Expert knowledge of data mapping and data dictionaries.
Experience in complete lifecycle of data warehouse development preferred.
Technical Skills:
Erwin data modeling software.
Dimensional modeling concepts and practices.
Strong SQL skills and good understanding of DB2.
Experience using Business Objects and in memory analytics tools such as Tableau is a plus.
SAS experience is a plus.
