Position : User Experience designer
Location : Houston, TX
Duration : 1+ month extendable contract
Job Description:
We are looking for a Senior User Experience Designer to work on a variety of interactive media and web projects in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You will work closely with engineers, designers and clients to create and create and refine new and existing interactive media websites, web apps, and mobile apps. Your responsibilities will include:
Ø Plan, prioritize, coordinate, and conduct user requirements analysis, task analysis, conceptual modeling, information architecture design, interaction design, and guerilla usability testing.
Ø Design and specify user interfaces and information architecture using participatory and iterative design techniques, including observational studies, customer interviews, usability testing, and other forms of requirements discovery.
Ø Produce user requirements specifications, personas, storyboards, scenarios, flowcharts, design prototypes, and design specifications.
Ø Effectively communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale both verbally and visually to stakeholders and broader team.
Ø Work closely with development teams to ensure that design specifications are implemented, ensuring design and experience quality through the developmentprocess to launch.
Qualifications:
Ø 10+ years' experience in interface, visual and UX design
Ø A portfolio of innovative, practical, and inspiring work
Ø Experience leading design/development teams
Ø Background in UX best practices and methods, including wireframes, flows, interaction models, user research and testing, etc.
