Position: Sr. Business Systems Analyst

Location: NY or NJ

Duration: Long term

Interview: Telephonic

 

We have an immediate long term contract position for a Business Systems Analyst to work on a Reinsurance Pricing Application.  The application provides functionality for a commercial property and casualty insurance company and is intended to facilitate significant growth in new business.  The ideal candidate will be very technical and have a programming and systems background.  The candidate needs to be able to analyze requirements and work with various users to develop a functional architecture, create the systems specification, do screen mockups, create an efficient UI design and build the associated documentation to be used for systems development. 

 

Skills Requirements:

 

5-10+ years of Business and Systems Analysis experience

.NET background

Ability to document systems and technical specifications in a detailed and understandable manner using Agile Methodologies

·         Experience coding in SQL required

·         Translation of business requirements and functional specifications into detailed technical requirements

·         Design of data flow and data transformation processes

·         Thorough understanding of multiple system platforms and technologies

·         Thorough understanding of system interactions and integration requirements

·         Excellent experience and knowledge with Business Process Modeling

·         Good understanding of various UML templates

·         Excellent knowledge of various design patterns

·         Experience with database systems analysis and design

·         Detailed Use Case development

·         Experience with Visio or other modeling tools for doing UI mockups and UML document creation
