BA/DA – Business Analyst/Data Analyst
The selected candidate will be required to interface with business requestors to understand and rationalize their business requirements for reporting, and to effectively document and communicate those requirements to the project team with the intent to have a technical solution developed or enhanced to meet those business requirements. In addition, the selected candidate will possess data analysis skills as required to work with the users and data source owners to document the data requirements for the project. They will follow those requirements through to the technical completion, ensuring that those requirements are effectively being met. The ideal candidate must be able to work with multiple teams across different regions and time zones.
Responsibilities include:
- Understand and rationalize the requirements as provided by the requestor
- Identify and document business deliverables and develop business design
- Analyze the source system requirements based on the business deliverables and document the data requirements for the data warehouse (Star Schema)
- Coordinate the creation of the Requirements Documents (including the use cases) with the project leadership team
- Ensure business requirements are being addressed throughout the development and testing of the project in Quality Center, tested, satisfied/validated.
- Create and manage the test cases through User Acceptance Testing.
- Provide updated estimates to the Business Design Lead throughout the life of the project
- Escalate any significant issues to the Program Manager
Qualifications:
- 3+ years IT experience is a must
- Strong Business Analysis and Business design skills related to data warehousing and reporting
- Data analysis skills
- Some team or project management experience with knowledge of system development lifecycles (SDLC)
- Knowledge of data warehousing architectures and techniques
- SQL development skills
- Report development experience
- Standard Windows Application experience is required.
- Bachelor or Masters Degree
- Fluent English is a must
- Strong communication and facilitation skills
- Good networking, detective, and problem solving skills
