Job Description – Scrum master (PM

Job location – Oaks, PA

 

We are in need of a Scrum master (PM) who can help the client migrate their existing projects operating in a waterfall model into an agile environment. This is a 1 yr minimum engagement.      

Scrum Master 

1.     Define the strategy to transition projects from a Waterfall to Agile methodology.

2.     Help define parameters for identifying projects that can be transitioned to an Agile SCRUM methodology.         

3.     Act as Scrum master for 1-2 scrum teams with a focus on guiding the teams towards improving the way they work.

4.     Facilitate sprint planning, retrospective and sprint demos

5.     Assist the product owner with keeping the backlog groomed

6.     Ensure cross-team coordination

7.     Maintain relevant metrics that help the team see how they are doing

8.     Coach and mentor other scrum masters in the product team. Ensure that the way of working is consistent across the teams.

9.     Liaise between the developers and User Experience/Visual Designers. Foster better communication between the disciplines.

10.  Act as a project manager when necessary. Take responsibility for managing dependencies between our team and third parties or between our team and other scrum teams.

11.  Strengthen the Agile centre of excellence.

 

Qualifications:

1.     Knowledge of the software development life cycle

2.     Certified scrum master/scrum practitioner

3.     Knowledge and/or experience of Java / Oracle

4.     Excellent communication skills in English in written and spoken form

5.     At least 3 years experience working in an agile environment, preferably in a variety of situations
