Role: Oracle Apps DBA

Location: Plano, TX

Duration: 12 + months

Rate: Open

 

Description:

• Detailed understanding of functionality of the above mentioned components
• Deep understanding of database structures
• Previous experience designing and implementing partitioning on our platform
o Includes partitioning for archiving/purging strategy and performance improvements
• Understanding of Oracle purging capabilities and database compression options
• Understanding of Oracle ILM processes and ability to document an ILM strategy
• Strong leadership and partnering skills
o Will work directly with DBA's on doing the partitioning work.  Providing them direction and knowledge sharing on any approaches implemented
o Will work with business on understanding requirements
o Will need to create documentation for a roadmap to archiving
• Ability to implement, test, and validate proposed solution
• Ability to recommend monitoring approaches and to review monitoring results and provide recommendations
• Must be onsite

 

Skill Set:

:  Implement an R12 partitioning strategy that will position FLUS for archiving and purging data in the future.  Evaluate options for partitioning that will improve performance  of our R12 implementation.

Infrastructure: 
• Oracle eBS R12.1.3 (General Ledger, Project Accounting, Fixed Assets, Purchasing, Payables, Inventory/Costing (OPM))
• Oracle Database 11G on LINUX, RAC
• Oracle Apps on AIX, Bladeservers

 

Required Qualification:
