Job Description:

This role will be 50% SAS development, and 50% Database Ad Hoc work. This
person will be responsible for the design, development and administration of the
SAS data mart environment managed by the Business Intelligence group. Included
within those responsibilities are the areas of data access and delivery technologies.

. Design, develop and test SAS processes to implement the creation of new
data marts
. Review and evaluate business specifications to determine their feasibility,
implementation, and compatibility with current systems and architecture standards
. Produce appropriate project documentation including schedules, system
requirements, technical designs and testing plans and results.
. Interface directly with development and operational groups in support of
software and production releases
. Participate and serve as SAS subject matter expert for Business and
internal Business Intelligence users
. Develop deliverables including updates and changes in the design
specifications document, providing input on training materials, development
of test scripts and documentation of test/defect resolution results
. Analyze functional problems and make recommendations for enhancements or
modifications to deliver solutions
. Develop and execute SAS/MACRO to monitor ongoing analyses, produce data
listings, summary tables and graphs
. Perform daily tasks within the scope of Unix & Windows SAS system
administration, including but not limited to, file system performance
monitoring, program and application performance, and user administration
. At least 5 years experience of Base SAS, SAS/MACRO, SAS/STAT, SAS/GRAPH,
SAS/ACCESS, SAS/ETL, SAS/ETS, SAS/ODS, SAS/ AF, SAS/SQL, SAS/CONNECT, SAS
Enterprise Guide, Windows and UNIX environments
. Working knowledge of database including its functionality and structure:
ORACLE, Teradata, MS SQL and MS Access is required
. Bachelor's degree in IT/MIS with a minimum of 5 years progressive
experience in Information Technology
. Understanding of client/server infrastructure
. Comprehension of SAS BI, SAS Grid and SAS Platform Computing, SAS
Management Console
. Knowledge and understanding of ETL (extract, transformation and load
techniques)
. Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite of applications
. Strong analytical background is required

Non-Technical Skills:
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, as they will be
interacting with the business frequently. Being very team oriented.
