JOB DESCRIPTION
Location: Denver, CO
· Process firewall change requests
o Assess validity and impact of request as it applies to company's security policy
o Implement authorized changes
o Resolve tickets
o Document changes
· Assist in troubleshooting connectivity issues as it relates to firewall change requests
· Maintain service levels and QA compliance
· Identify and define processes & procedures around firewall operations and document these as necessary
Required Skills
- Must have actual experience with 2 out of the 3 firewall platforms below in the areas of design, installation, configuration, and operation:
- Check Point firewalls (R70 and above, Nokia/IPSO, Provider-1)
- Juniper Netscreen firewalls
- Cisco ASA/PIX
- Knowledge of Juniper SA (Secure Access, aka SSL VPN) and Blue Coat ProxySG
- Knowledge of network protocols, data flows, and vulnerabilities within a TCP/IP environment
- Ability to perform network protocol analysis and raw data captures
- Basic understanding of dynamic routing protocols and static routing
- 2-7 years experience in a major global organization, preferably in a regulated industry
- Demonstrated interpersonal, collaborative and commitment to operational excellence skills
- Completes tasks and assignments with strong customer focus and a highly responsive service delivery and support ethic
Good to have skills:
- Has worked in PCI remediation projects
- Has exposure to configure the firewall to send logs to ArcSight or any SIEM tool
- Experience in Insurance industry
