SAS Tech Lead with UNIX/AIX Experience.

 

Job Description:

·         Very strong SAS skills with Unix/AIX experience (Senior level experience)

·         Very strong communication skills due to heavy end user interaction

·         System Administration, including:

    • Project setup and maintenance
    • Issue resolution

§  Connectivity

§  Security

    • System configuration
        • Storage reviews
        • Archive, backup, restore

·         Code Migration assistance

·         New user setup

        • System setup

·         End user training – basics about how to use SAS in our environment, rules of the road, best practices, etc., not specifically training in SAS itself.

 

Additional Candidate Information:

The BICC's Unix SAS support team is in need of a resource to aid them in covering their expanding system and end user support roles.  This role will have heavy user interaction and be a main point of contact for our users.  This role will provide day to day support for system activities including end user issue resolution (security, connectivity, etc.), project configuration, code migrations and system backups. 

 

As well, this role will be the focal point for new user setup and training.  The candidate will work directly with the end users to set them up properly in our Unix environment and provide them with training on system best practices and setup so that they can get up and running quickly in our SAS environment.  While the role will not provide detailed training in the SAS language itself, having a working knowledge of Base SAS, 3-5 years of experience in a Unix/AIX, is a requirement.
