DETAILS:

Position: Perl Developer

Location: IOWA City, IA

Duration: 6 months

Interview: Telephonic

 

 

As a member of the Print and Distribution team the Perl developer will participate in troubleshooting and developing a complex system. These activities will require, but are not limited to:

• Participate in the design, development and testing of new components.
• Participate in requirements gathering, definition and documentation.
• Prepare, write and review system documentation.
• Provide necessary software updates or configuration changes.

 

Education

• Minimum:  Bachelor degree in Computer Science (Computer Engineering, MIS or related field)

 

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of professional programming experience
• Strong skills and experience developing with Perl and Bash
• Good experience working with workload automation tool, CAWA
• Good experience in working with XML
• Working experience in SQL

 

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to deliver quality solutions within scheduled timeframes
• Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team environment or independently
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, required
• Must be self starting and able to work efficiently with little supervision
