Title: Senior Message Broker (WMB) Developer

Duration: 6+ Months

Job Description:

The Senior Message Broker (WMB) Developer will focus on integration design, development and support. Responsible for designing, development, administration, and troubleshooting of WMB solutions. Responsible to self-manage their assigned projects, communicating the status of the project to the client. 

WORK HISTORY/EXPERIENCE: 
Must have 7 – 8 years IT WMB experience overall. Candidate must have excellent software development skills and experience following the software development lifecycle process. Candidate must have excellent analytical and communication skills including the ability to successfully convey information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Knowledge in the Healthcare Group Insurance industry and understanding of its terminology is a plus. 

The position requires the following: 
• Collaborate with business users/developers to provide required data 
• Research and provide alternatives and recommendations based on best practices and application functionality 
• Understands the business processes, how the application supports the business processes and applies this knowledge to best solve problems 
• Design and develop WMB message flows, message sets 
• Gains necessary input/approval of requirements and design and participates in code reviews and may perform code review for others 
• Creates system and user documentation 
• Design best practice solution to meet the needs of the client. 
• Conduct root cause analysis and resolve production problems and data issues 
• Collaborate with requirements team to develop design specifications 
• Provide ongoing maintenance and support of assigned MB flows and their target applications 
• Assist users with problems and resolves issues independently 
• Create test plans, test cases, test scripts and performs unit testing 
• Work with existing systems to track and manage requests and issues 

Essential Skills Required: 
1. 7 – 8 years of WebSphere Message Broker (WMb) development 
2. Strong technical expertise in ESQL 
3. Analysis, Design and Development experience using standard project methodologies. 
4. Self-starter able to take initiative and operate with minimal supervision. 
5. Prior experience with Off-shore team coordination 
6. Well versed with XML related technologies like DTDs, XML Schema, XPath and XSL. 
7. Experience working on Unix/Linux platform, knowledge of commands, shell scripts etc. 
8. Strong programming Knowledge and hands on skill in using ESQL and Java 
9. Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills 
10. Willingness and ability to quickly adapt to new environments and learn new technologies.

TECHNICAL SKILLS 
Webspher Message broker version 7.x or above, Webspher Message Queues (MQ) version 6.x or above, ESQL, Microsoft Office, UNIX 

NONESSENTIAL SKILLS DESIRED 
1. Soft Skills - Excellent Communication (Oral & Written), Presentation along with Strong Analytical Skills. 
2 Good interpersonal skills, able to work effectively on a team 
3. Willing to share technical knowledge, but not in a classroom situation
