Job Description:
Test Analyst is responsible for developing and executing test scenarios for functional, SIT, automated and acceptance testing.
Manages the schedule and priority of the testing effort.
Oversees the management of the testing effort using ALM or Quality Center and the automation of test cases using QTP, WinRunner. Prioritizes and manages defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
• Develops test cases, scenarios and scripts to ensure quality applications.
• Designs and develops usability testing scenarios, and administers portions of testing process.
• Defines criteria for testing, analyzes results of testing sessions and presents results.
• Performs testing functions and record test execution results based on detailed test cases
• Identify and track defects/issues during test phase
• Identify and report project risks.
• Conduct functional, regression, and scalability tests on code releases.
• Work closely with development staff to coordinate functional and regression testing.
• Clearly communicate and document test results and defect resolution during all phases of testing.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related degree
• Certified Test Analyst Certification
• 2 years of experience as a Developer or Test Analyst
• 5 years of experience in SQL Query writing and analysis
• 3 years of experience in using testing tools QC/ALM, QTP, SOAP UI
• Experience testing backend systems like Profile/Anyware application or MUMPS (GT.M) database
• 5 years of hands on experience using SQL tools like Toad, SQL Navigator or PL SQL Developer.
• 3 years of experience testing Webservices.
