Mandatory Technical/Functional Skills

• Design and administration of multiple network products on large networks in production business, and carrier environments

• Design of carrier network products for national ISP.

• Knowledge of advanced routers utilizing complex routing tables, running RIP, OSPF, ISIS, and MPLS (LDP,RSVP-TE, MP-BGP).

• Knowledge of various CPE products including Cable Modems, Ciena , Juniper, and Cisco edge and aggregation devices

• Experience running BGP in a production carrier environment with multi-protocol extensions. Configuration of switches and bridges utilizing multiple flavors of spanning tree, 802.1Q, 802.1ad, LACP, Ethernet OAM, and CFM(including Y.1731).

• Experience delivering business value by creating network products in national production environments.

• Experience in implementing and automating BSS and OSS systems for network products

• Experience in engineering product delivery methods and procedures.

Desire:

• Strong experience with Metro Ethernet Form certification and other standards like IEEE, ITU, IETF, OIF, and Cable Labs

• Proven experience working with service provider networks in a technical lead capacity for Ethernet and IP/MPLS product or platform.

• In-depth knowledge of buying and selling Ethernet services between service providers

• Strong Network Background Ethernet, MPLS, IPVPN

• Expert on large scale Cisco and Juniper based IP/MPLS networks design, provisioning, and operation

• Hand on experiences on configuring Cisco and Juniper IP routers

• Prior Architecture/ Design EXP with Regional Networks (CORE, Edge)  Cisco , Juniper exp a must.

• Experience working on network monitoring and service level reporting solutions

• Bachelor degree in EE or CS or equivalent work experience required.

• Ability to create complex collaborative technical documents

• 10+ Years experience within commercial data service providers space
