Title: SQL Server Developer
Location: Denver, CO
Duration: 6 months
Responsibilities:
- Translation of design documents into software systems that meets needs of customers. Systems typically involve high data volumes, complex business rules and tight processing windows.
- All facets of systems development: Planning, analysis, design, coding, unit and system testing, implementation and limited production support.
- Preparation of required technical documentation.
- Providing both high level and detailed time estimates to support the planning of new development work and projects.
- Adherence to standards and procedures in areas such as testing, release to production, documentation.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
- 4+ years programming Java experience within a relational database environment
- 4+ years SQL Server relational database development and with some design work
- Strong SQL tuning skills
- Able to work well individually and with a team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic, self-starter, and results oriented
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with WebLogic app server environments.
- Experience writing unit and integration tests.
- Experience with Unix/Oracle development environment
- Experience with financial or investment data products
