Key skills and Responsibilities:
• Proficient in writing stored procedures and performance tuning with SQL Server 2012.
• Well versed with Linux systems.
• Should be able to write new code and modify existing Perl scripts on Linux machines.
• Understanding of tomcat server on a Linux machine.
• Basic understanding of ganglia monitoring.
• Troubleshooting database related errors with SQL Server.
• Writing complex stored procedures with SQL Server 2012
• Writing new and debugging old code in PERL using CPAN modules.
• Refreshing databases on QA from PROD regularly.
• Addressing issues with tomcat server on Linux machine ( memory issues, tomcat service restart issues and analyzing errors using ganglia reports )
• Working with Unix admins to resolve Linux server related issues.
• Working with off shore DBA team to patch or upgrade SQL Servers both on QA & PROD.
