Job Title:             Oracle DBA

Location:             Washington, DC

Duration:             12 months 

 

 

Description:

•             Strong experience in supporting Oracle DBMS products including Oracle Database, Oracle Grid Control , Dataguard, ASM

•             Strong knowledge of Oracle database technology

•             Working experience in Oracle RAC is a plus

•             Working experience with Sybase and MS SQL database environments

•             Extensive experience supporting complex and integrated application environments, primarily based on IBM Websphere suite and Oracle relational databases

•             Experience working with global IT organizations supporting decentralized business operations

•             Knowledge of ETL technologies, preferably Informatica

•             Knowledge of Reporting technologies, preferably IBM Cognos

•             Experience in supporting IT operations using an onsite/offshore delivery model

•             Strong customer focus and ability to manage client expectations.

•             Ability to write and maintain technical documentation and procedures

•             Good understanding of the Software development lifecycle

•             Ability to diagnose and resolve technical problems independently as well as in collaboration with a team

•             Ability to take initiative and work without supervision.

•             Ability to work as a effective team member in a multicultural environment is must

•             Should have excellent interpersonal skill as well as oral and written communication skill

•             BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent – Master's degree preferred

•             Minimum 9 years of IT experience, the majority of which should be in database administration in a large scale operation
