Role: .Net developer 

Location: DURHAM, North Carolina

 

JOB SUMMARY: 

Work in a team environment to design and develop software for IBMs Mortgage Servicing Technology group. Design and develop windows and web based software solutions for mortgage servicing, state and federal compliance, and financial systems. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

Design new software solutions utilizing ST software development practices. 

Develop application using C# 2.0-4.0 

Develop Web applications in ASP.Net, Lightswitch and Silverlight a plus 

Ability to write code/have hands-on experience as well as lead a small team of developers through design/implementation phases of SDLC 

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 

At least 6 years experience designing and developing n-tier Windows applications 

At least 6 years experience with Windows Enterprise development such as; IIS, Web Services, .NET Remoting, and COM+. 

At least 6 years experience in the Microsoft .NET environment. (C#,  ASP.NET, and Windows Forms/Console applications) 

At least 4 years experience with Microsoft SQL Server (Microsoft Management Studio, TSQL, Stored Procedures, and SSIS) 

Expert in Object Oriented Programming 

Expert in relational data modeling principles and techniques. 

Experience designing applications that run on mission critical high volume databases 

Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously 

Dedicated to completing assigned tasks on time 

 

ADDITIONAL DESIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 

Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) 

Silverlight and/or LightSwitch Experience 

Windows Workflow (WF), Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) 

Experience designing large scale applications using UML. 

Experience in creation of automated unit test cases. 

Experience in automated builds 

Experience in financial lending industry 

Experience in mortgage servicing experience 

 

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: 

Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers, peers, and management through written and verbal communication. 

Ability to communicate with customers, internal departments, and other outside parties in a professional manner. 

Effectively communicate with business analysts, developers, and quality assurance staff in the resolution of technical problems 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

6 years related experience. 

Bachelors degree, preferably in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience
