JobTitle: .NET Developer w/ VB6 Experience
Location: San Diego, CA
Duration: 6+ Months Contract
** For this position, we need someone strong in both VB6 and .NET as they will be working on a project where they'll have to convert VB6 to .NET
Job Responsibilities:
* Performing basic analysis and design for program changes to gain an understanding of application changes.
* Providing time estimates for development tasks to aid in scheduling.
* Monitoring progress against task estimates to provide status.
* Completing more complex program changes to translate specifications and/or requirements into code.
* Applying application specific technical skills to independently produce deliverables.
* Acquiring and utilizing basic business knowledge to support the applications.
* Recognizing code inefficiencies and making suggestions for improvement, if applicable.
* Providing documentation to support program changes.
* Planning, documenting, and executing unit test plans to ensure all code changes meet requirements/specifications.
* Supporting programmming changes during quality assurance, user acceptance testing, and post implementation to ensure integrity of application.
* Complying with and contributing to standards and protocols to ensure development consistency.

Qualifications:
* High school diploma and a minimum of 4 years of computer related experience are required (Associates or Bachelors preferred). Consideration may be given to a candidate with a degree in lieu of experience.
* VB6, C#, .NET, SQL, ASP knowledge a must. Project will involve converting VB6 into .NET.
