Senior PHP Developer

Job Description/Responsibilities
 
This position requires a highly motivated individual who is comfortable with rapid changes in direction and environment. The successful candidate will be customer oriented and results driven. 
 
Develop, implement, and maintain web-based applications using PHP 5, javascript, jquery, and Oracle;
Review, analyze and modify applications which includes coding, testing, debugging, and documenting. Build test plans to ensure code modifications do not result in failures of project specifications
Ensure that deployed applications are properly maintained throughout their lifecycle
Troubleshoot issues and work with the appropriate resources/parties to resolve them
Provide level-of-effort estimates regarding completion for all projects
Work closely with Technical Architect, other team members, and business analysts to identify current operating procedures and clarify program objectives;
 
Required Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
5+ years experience developing web-based applications in PHP 5
Experience working with PHP MVC frameworks, preferably ZEND
Experience with HTML,JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, JSON, HTML, CSS, Oracle
Excellent debugging skills
Experience with source control procedures, specifically SVN
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Willing to go the extra mile to accomplish a task
Success working in a team-based environment
Experience writing SQL queries including complex joins
 
Desired Skills
Experience with Java/PHP Bridge
Experience with mobile web development
Experience with Jira
Excellent speaking and communication skills
Familiarity with relational databases and n-tier web application architectures;
Structured testing procedures that includes application testing experience for performance and impact
User interface design experience
